Fan-fic Review

Jakes biggest fear.

I read this fanfic, but was not impressed. It seemed to lack ideas, it was simply a situation presented (aterryi being hurt). Jake seems corse and unthoughtful, quick to "kill the messenger" as it were, almost blaming norm for bringing him the bad news. The fanfic does not have an ending, it simply cuts off , with jake being sad/angry and looking for someone to blame. The killer is not identified, and the fanfic is left relitavly unfinished. We do not know if atteryi is alive or dead, but she has been impaled by a dagger with no hilt. There is a decent ammount of diologue i'll admit, but most of it is Jake exclaiming in anger or asking who did this to his mate. It is relitavly short, and it left me thinking "what now".


The Experement

This fanfic was interesting to me. It started off seemingly uneventful, the main character "sam," His father works for the RDA and the avatar program, but he is secretive and dosent tell sam what he is actually doing there. Sam has a 'dream' which is very vivid and strange, where he is taken to his fathers lab and injected with some burning serym. The next day he gets in a fight with a kid at school and he beats him with one punch. His strength is upgraded. The story makes the reader suspect that it wasnt a dream that he had and he was actually been made a part of an experiment. i believe this fanfic was alot more professional than the one i reviewed above this one. It actually had me interested and i thought that it could blossom into a great short story.


Cold Comfort Castle
This fanfic was situated in the world of warcraft - Azeroth. It was a very professional fanfic and i was utterly impressed and almost blowen away by how good it was. It is about a mage who goes on an adventure to 'the alterac mountains' and his situation goes steadily from bad to worse. But he managed to keep himself alive, and even makes some allies in the process. I found this entertaining, and good to read. The way it was written was interesting and it kept me wanting to know what else happened. There were 12 chapters, none of them failed to please. This fanfic would be suitable to published and sold as a short story it is that good. The characters seem real and consistant, and the action is competetiant and keeps you wanting to know what happens next. A very good fanfic.



Bb's First Fight

This facfic was about the movie "kill bill." It was relitavly short as fan fics go, and i found it to lack structure, but it had some good ideas and it kept me reading to the end. But i found the actual writing and flow of the story wasn't appealing and some of it was hard to follow. A good idea but i think the writer could have spent more time on the actual creation of the fan-fic.


Dangerous Reunions
This fanfic was about the movie 'The lion king" I found it to be well written and interesting ! It seemed like there was certainly some unfinished business in it, and i would have enjoied reading some more if the author had posted it. The characters seem to be solid, and whats going on sure is interesting. The one flaw i found was that this fanfic was too short, I would have loved seeing what it developed into. It was well written, and it made me dislike the character 'kovu' who to me seemed like an egotistic prick, and kiara who seemed to be way too jelous and smug. But this is all props to how it was written, i am impressed.


One Giant Paintbrush
This fanfic is about the "trueman show" an interesting movie. The fanfic explores the idea of what truman did after he got out of the fake world. Truman is having a romantic time with sylvia, a woman who he had a brief contact with and they were both spellbound for eachother but he was unable to see her because she was removed from his fake world. In the fanfic he finally egts to see her again , and they are watching a sunset which is ironic to what happens in the movie. I found this fanfic to be abit bland, and unentertaining, but it explored soem good ideas.


A Tight Jam

This fanfic is about futurama. I found the characters to behave as they would in the program, but the story itself wasn't so good. There wasnt much going on storywise and i found it a little dissapointing. But i was impressed with how the characters behaved and acted, as i could picture them doing that in the cartoon. This fanfic was fairly brief , and it didn't strike me as anything particularly special.

Ferngully 2

This fanfic is about the movie ferngully. I found it to be commical, and very very long. it followed a steady storyline, and it did not faile to impress. I found it was largly good, but there were afew problems with the spelling and grammer that could have been improved, and i found parts of it did not make sense. To any ferngully fans (not me) i largly recomend you read this fanfic.


Artemis Foul; Human Talk Farie Talk

This fanfic was unentertaining to me, and i found it abit bland. It was brief also - and the characters didn't act how they should have behaved in the actual book. The fanfic was absed on artemis foul, which i found to be an entertaining and good book, but the fan fic just did not appeal. I disliked is so much because it did not flow well, the characters did not behave as they should have, and the actual storyline did not appeal.


To Kill A Mocking Boy


This fanfic was well written. It is about the book of peter pan, and i found the story had flow, the ideas were solid, and the characters seemed believable. I found that this fan-fic kept me entertained right till the end, i read the whole thing without a pause because i liked it. The writing seemed almost professional; and i think that the autho is an experenced writer.
